We have had quite a few people ask us what our future plans for the field are. We talk about it all the time and now we have some idea what we are looking to do and we want your iinput. Pictured below are a couple of our aerials and overlayed on them are our future plans. Take a look at what all we have planned for the future then head over to the forums and tell us what you think.
The photo above shows the whole field. You can get some better views of the field by visiting the "Aerial Field Views" link on the left. The two red squares represent 10x10 two story (the "HOLE" is actually now three stories if you count the underground level) that will be ready for play beginning August 2007. The red rectangles in Switzerland can bee seen in greater detail in the photo below.
The Black squares above represent additional 10x10 two story towers that will be going up between the 2007 and 2010 seasons. We are going to be concentrating hard on Switzerland but we want to keep the rest of the field fresh as well. The new towers along with the massive Switzerland update should help to establish the Bad Karma field as "The Premiere Airsoft Field" in the US by the time it is completed in 2010.
We are planning a lot between 2007 and 2010. Changes made to Switzerland are going to forever change the way people play on the Bad Karma field. We are also planning a few surprises that are not shown, but why spoil all the fun. The smaller Red squares represent 10x10 two story buildings. The red lines stretching between them represent 6' wide walkways. On the lower side, you can see that the 16x16 building is not only going to be two stories high but will connect off on either side to 10x10's.
The really exciting thing is the twin 16x32 two story buildings at each end of the "street". To be used as major points of contention, they will be set up to allow multiple ways into them and possibly even rooftop sniper access.
The yellow area in the top photo represents a long term goal of one more major compound located ABOVE the main road. As it stands now, that area is used to great effect for people attempting to sneak around and go wide. A compound up high would either help or hinder that depending on which side actually controlled it. It's still in the planning stages as is a lot of what you see here, but these thwo photos represent our biggest plans and what we have been wanting the field to look like for years.
Taken along with the additional updates in the top photo, you can see that with everyone's help and your continued annual field donations, we are planning for the long term and before long, the Bad Karma field will become known as the BEST place to play airsoft in the country.
